Tullibardine is located in the Highlands at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Perthshire.
Already around 1800 there was Tullibardine as whiskey distillery, far before - as early as 1488 - was the first official beer brewery in Scotland under King James IV.
Today's distillery dates back to 1949 and was taken over four years later by Invergordon, who needed the malt for their then premium blend "Scots Gray".
In 1994, Invergordon - and thus Tullibardine - was sold to Jim Beam and then closed.
In 2001 Tullibardine went to Kyndal, which restarted the distillery in the summer of 2002.
Tullibardine is a middleweight with many spicy notes, pleasantly soft and malty.
