Founded in 1798 on the Isle of Mull, Tobermory produces with many, sometimes long periods of closure, on the one hand the quite light but very aromatic malt of the same name (the Malt Tobermory is made from unsalted barley) and the other the Malt Ledaig ( This malt is made of beaten barley and made only in small editions).
A very nice malt, rich and nutty in the aroma with notes of leather.
In the taste light sherry sweetness and roasted oak.
The finish is long and dry, with lots of smoke and walnut.
Bottling from a sherry butt.
Data of bottling
Distilled: February 1996
Bottled: March 2010
Edition: 677 bottles
