Glendronach 14 Year Old Sauternes Finish 46% vol. 0,7l
Glendronach was founded in 1826 by James Allardice (1780-1849) and was owned for a time by the William Grant family.
Since 1960, Glendronach is owned by Teacher & Sons - and so the malt also plays an important role in the teacher's blends.
This Glendronach received its finish in Sauternes wine barrels.
This bottling is produced in very small batches.
The result is a single malt whiskey with very nice notes.
Aroma:
fruity and fresh, creamy, wild strawberries and dessert wine. Traces of ripe cherries, really very fruity.
Taste:
In the taste apple and rhubarb, again sweet dessert wine and ripe sultanas - very creamy.
finish:
Sweet again on the finish, very well balanced and round.
