Glen Garioch was founded in 1798 in the eastern Highlands. The distillery has been owned by the Morrison family (Bowmore) since 1970. Glen Garioch stood idle from 1995 to 1997. Since 1997 it has been in continuous production, and even the old malting floors have been brought back to life.
Tasting Notes: What Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve Tastes Like
- Nose: Creamy-oily with spicy, lightly peppery tones – traces of lime and grapefruit
- Palate: The fruit again, reminiscent of dessert wine, a little chocolate – plus more spice and smoked ham
- Finish: Some smoke, oak, fruit and chocolate again

Sehr schöner Single Malt, tolle Aromen. Verträgt auch etwas Wasser.
