Kilchoman Summer 2010 release 46% vol. 0,7l

Kilchoman is Islay's latest distillery.
Over 120 years have gone to the "Islay Land", before Kilchoman with a new distillery was built on the island.

Established in 2005 as a farm distillery, Kilchoman is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries.
Farm distillery means that here a part of the barley used is grown and even malted.
Only 90,000 to 100,000 liters of alcohol are distilled here per year.

The whiskey is stored in "fresh bourbon barrels" from the Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky, USA, as well as in "fresh Oloroso Sherry Butts" from Spain.

Summer 2010 release
This is the fourth bottling of Kilchoman, matured over three years in fresh bourbon barrels.

Aroma: strong peat flavors and a complex blend of pear, citrus and a hint of mango
Taste: A slight sweetness, followed by peat smoke and fruity notes
Finish: long, clean and refreshing, again traces of peat smoke and cloves
