Springbank 1997/2010 Claret Wood 54.4% vol. 0,7l

Springbank is one of Scotland's last independent distilleries.
It has been managed since 1837 by the Mitchell family, who traditionally produce and bottle their malt from start to finish.
Springbank dispenses with colorants and cold filtration, and the malt is produced as naturally as possible.
There used to be over 30 distilleries in Campbeltown (located on the Kintyre Peninsula) - today Springbank is here, along with Glen Scotia, the last still producing distillery.

Exclusive bottling with a circulation of 9,360 bottles - 9 years stored in refill bourbon barrels and another 3 years in fresh claret barrels

Aroma: sweet smelling of honey, dates and figs
Body: fruity and sweet, oily and yet surprisingly light. You can taste caramel, a dash of salt and freshly baked apple pie
Finish: long and fruity with a light, dry chili sharpness
