Springbank is one of Scotland's last independent distilleries.
It has been managed since 1837 by the Mitchell family, who traditionally produce and bottle their malt from start to finish.
Springbank dispenses with colorants and cold filtration, and the malt is produced as naturally as possible.
There used to be over 30 distilleries in Campbeltown (located on the Kintyre Peninsula) - today Springbank is the last distillery still producing, along with Glen Scotia.

The first 12-year-old in barrel strength.
60% Fresh Sherry Hogshead
40% Refill Sherry Butts

Rich in nose and rich in toffee and caramel. One suspects cinnamon and smoke
The body is wonderfully round with a rich and oily texture.
Aromas of orange and clementines with a hint of cocoa.
Sweet on the finish, very rich and long with a hint of smoke
