Balvenie, built in 1892/93, is now owned by the fifth generation of the Grant family, who also own the neighboring distillery Glenfiddich.
W. & J. Grant are not related to the grants of the Glenfarclas distillery.
Balvenie is an outstanding representative of the Speyside region.
The malt produced here is wonderfully soft, the malt flavor displaces the Torfton without losing strength or even too sweet.
The Signature is a cuvée of first fill bourbon, refill and sherry casks.
Very nice notes of honey, spices and oak.
