Compass Box was founded in 2000 by John Glaser.
The idea of creating a whiskey to the taste of the customer is as simple as it is ingenious.
Compass Box Whiskeys are Blends and Vatted Malts and Grains!
The bottlings are without exception small runs, so-called "small batches".
Compass Box buys self-selected barrels of various distilleries and combines whiskeys, as you know it from any conventional blend or Vatted.
The results are impressive, with many critics and journals praising Compass Box as the most innovative whiskey blender in Scotland.
At the "International Wine & Spirit Competition" the blend "Asyla" won gold!

Lady Luck - Vatting from 2 barrels Caol Ila and 1 barrel Imperial
John Glaser, owner of Compass Box, years ago tried a blend that he felt so extraordinary that he has since spoken of it as the "lucky blend".
The blend that John Glaser tasted back then was Islay malts.
With this fact in mind, he set to work and married for this Vattes Malt two barrels of Caol Ila with a barrel Imperial.
The result is a malt with a strong structure, a distinctive smoky note, exceptionally complex and a true experience.
It shows once again that everything is good, must not be a "single"!
