Aberlour is one of the creamiest malts ever, with a distinct sherry note and pronounced toffee character.
The a'bunadh (Gaelic: from the origin, the original) is the noblest bottling of the house Aberlour.
For this whiskey bottles are used, which is reminiscent of the shape of the old Scottish Apothecary bottles.
The bottles are sealed with wax, as it used to be.
Aberlour dispenses with the usual wooden plugs for barrel storage and uses cork instead.
The cork plugs are intended to facilitate the evaporation of coarser flavorings, creating a softer whiskey.
