Aberlour is one of the creamiest malts ever, with a distinct sherry note and pronounced toffee character.
This 15-year-old has received his finish in selected sherry casks. The typical spicy notes of the Aberlour are complemented here by the pleasant sweetness of the sherry.
Aberlour dispenses with the usual wooden plugs for barrel storage and uses cork instead.
The cork plugs are intended to facilitate the evaporation of coarser flavorings, creating a softer whiskey.
