The blend "Nevis Dew" is one of the oldest surviving Scotch brands.
Long John Macdonald sold the blend as early as the 1820s.
The English term "Dew" means "dew (drop)".

Aroma: clearly honey and caramel, barley malt and traces of citrus
Taste: Medium body with lots of grains, honey again and spicy oak - traces of smoke in the background
Finish: short, dry finish with notes of caramel

Nicht rauchig und auch nicht bitter, dafür sehr mild. Wenn es ein Blended Scotch sein soll, dann ist der Nevis Dew erste Wahl. Leider liegt der Preis schon in der Region eines einfachen Malt-Whiskys. Dennoch gibt es vier von fünf Sterne.
