Blair Athol distillery is located in the town centre of Pitlochry, near Dalwhinnie in the Highlands. Founded as early as 1798, Blair Athol was one of Scotland's truly great malts until the 1970s. Undeservedly, this bold, fruity, medium-bodied malt leads a shadowy existence. Most of the production goes into the blends of Bell & Sons, who also hold the licence and acquired the distillery in 1933.

- Nose: Nuts and sherry, plus light touches of peat
- Palate: Full body with a pleasant sweetness and plenty of malt – citrus fruit in the background

Für mich einer de Besten und bezahlbarsten aus der Flora Fauna Reihe (im Übrigen, eine wunderschöne kleine Distillerie)

Für mich der beste Vertreter aus der Flora und Fauna Serie. Im Geschmack dunkle Früchte, Lebkuchen und Rosinen. Langer, leicht trockener, süßer und leicht rauchiger Abgang.
