Founded in 1894 in the Speyside, the distillery Knockdhu for a long time supplied the basic malt for the Haig blends.
Knockdhu was shut down in 1983, sold to Inver House in 1988 and reopened one year later.

Nose: soft and creamy, clearly pineapple
Taste: now vanilla and soft caramel, very elegant with pleasant herbal notes
Finish: fruity-spicy, warming and very long

Nase:
Weich, sehr aromatisch mit einem Hinweis auf Vanille milder Honig und für mich Calvados ähnliche Noten im Vordergrund.

Geschmack
süßlich aber nicht extrem, und zu beginn angenehm fruchtig. Leicht aber trotzdem Komplex, ein Whisky zum anbieten, für absolut nichtrauchige ... Gaumenfreuden
