Littlemill is probably the oldest distillery in Scotland, founded in 1772.
Littlemill was closed in 1992, before that there was already a period of rest from 1984 to 1989.
In 1996, the distillery was partially demolished, the remaining buildings were listed and are for sale.
The 8-year-old is in fact considerably older, since he was distilled before 1992.
The current owner, Glen Catrine, fills in only once a year.
The malt is typical of a lowland, light and mild and has a fruity sweetness.
