A lightly tapped Single Malt Whisky from the Scottish Hebrides island of Islay from the Bunnahabhain distillery - to get to know each other in the small tasting size.

Nose: malty-sweet with a pleasant freshness - sea air
Taste: soft in the taste with light sherry notes, pleasantly sweet and nutty - clearly sultanas and malt
Finish: elegant herbs, sherry and some sea salt

Der Geruch ist der Hammer! Dunkles Zedern-Holz mit süßlich-herben Noten eines gereiften Rotweins (etwas anders als die typischen Sherry-Whisky-Noten, erinnert mich eher an Bordeaux oder Burgund).
Leider kommt der Geschmack da nicht ganz mit und wirkt etwas wie ein Abklatsch des Geruchs. Man erwartet etwas mehr. Trotzdem lecker und empfehlenswert.

Besten von Islay.

Einer meiner Favoriten, beim nosing etwas "schwach" - macht er beim Geschmack wieder wett. Sehr stark und kräftig, das besondere, meines Erachtens, ist der Abang. Schön lang und mild, keine Bitterbombe sondern süß und dadurch fast schon gefährlich süffig.
