Dem Blended Scotch Whisky verdanken wir Whiskyfreunde die große Vielfalt schottischer Whiskys, die wir heute genießen dürfen. Erst durch den Pioniergeist schottischer Persönlichkeiten wie John Walker, den Chivas Brüdern oder George Ballantine bekam der Scotch Whisky die internationale Aufmerksamkeit, die er heute genießt. Ihre Scotch Whisky Johnnie Walker, Chivas Regal und Ballantine's sind heute nicht mehr wegzudenken. Durch das geschickte Blending von Single Malt Scotch und Grain Scotch Whisky entstand so Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts der Blended Scotch Whisky in Schottland. So konnte der damals wuchtige Malt Whisky für die Gaumen der damaligen Zeit gezähmt werden. Von da an hab es für den Erfolg des Scotch Whiskys kein Halten mehr. Wenn Du einen rauchigen Blended Scotch suchst, greif zum Johnnie Walker Black Label oder Chivas Regal, wenn es leicht und fruchtig sein soll.
