Malt Whisky Collection von Compass Box.

The Spice Tree Compass Box 46%vol. 0,05l
The Spice Tree ist ein herrlich würziger, reichhaltiger Vatted Malt Whisky aus verschiedenen Highland-Destillerien - ausschließlich Destillerien aus den nördlichen Highlands sind vertreten, hauptsächlich aus dem Ort Brora.

Aroma: wohlduftende Aromen getrockneter Kräuter, dazu Ingwer, Zimt und Muskat - dahinter Eiche und Vanille
Geschmack: voll und rund im Geschmack - eine leichte Süße von Toffee und Vanille, dann wieder die Kräuter, dazu Ingwer, Gewürznelken und nussige Töne
Abgang: lang im Abgang - sehr würzig mit leichten Vanille- und Eichennoten

The Peat Monster Compass Box 46%vol. 0,05l
Ein Vatted Malt, bestehend aus Malts von Caol Ila und Ardmore.
Eine echte Rauch- und Torfbombe, die wahrlich den Namen "Monster" verdient.
Das Alter der Whiskys liegt zwischen 10 und 15 Jahren.

Aroma: dicker, torflastiger Rauch, erinnert an Räucherspeck oder ein Lagerfeuer am Meer - dann etwas medizinisch, dazu leicht süße und fruchtige Aromen.
Geschmack: viel Malz, erdig mit deutlich Torf und Eiche, wieder der Räucherspeck und die Süße - fruchtig, Papaya und Mango
Abgang: über allem eine leichte Süße, der Torf wird mehr - würzig und leichte Eichentöne

The Story of the Spaniard Compass Box 43%vol. 0,05l
In diesem Blended Malt Whisky sind alle Haupt-Whiskies Sherryfaßgelagert - der ideale Blended Malt Whisky für den späten Abend oder nach einem prächtigen Essen.

Aroma: deutlich der Sherryfaß-Einfluß - reife, rote Beeren und Trockenfrüchte - süß und ausgewogen - über allem eine leichte Würze
Geschmack: voll und sehr weich im Geschmack mit deutlichen Noten von Zitrusschalen und reifen Birnen, gekocht in Rotwein mit Gewürzen
Abgang: lang im Abgang mit Tönen von Vanille und Panna Cotta - dahinter reife Beeren und Kirschen


Compass Box wurde im Jahre 2000 von John Glaser gegründet.
Die Idee, einen Whisky nach dem Geschmack des Kunden zu schaffen, ist so einfach wie genial.
Bei den Whiskys von Compass Box handelt es sich um Blends und Vatted Malts und Grains!
Die Abfüllungen sind ausnahmslos kleine Auflagen, sogenannte „Small Batches“.

Compass Box kauft selbstgewählte Fässer verschiedener Destillerien und kombiniert Whiskys, wie man es von keinem herkömmlichen Blend oder Vatted kennt.

Die Ergebnisse können sich sehen lassen, viele Kritiker und Fachzeitschriften loben Compass Box in den höchsten Tönen als den innovativsten Whisky-Blender Schottlands.
Bei der "International Wine & Spirit Competition" gewann der Blend "Asyla" Gold!
