Kein Geringerer als die St. Lucia Distillers zeichnen verantwortlich für die Rumqualitäten unter dem Namen Admiral Rodney.
Die Admiral Rodney-Rums feiern den berühmten Seesieg von Admiral George Rodney gegen die Franzosen bei der Schlacht von Les Saintes im Jahre 1782, bei der sich die Briten die Herrschaft über die Karibik sicherten.

Die Namen der Rums in dieser Reihe stammen von den Schiffen, die sich in der Schlacht hervorgetan haben.
Die HMS Princessa, die HMS Royal Oak und Admiral Rodney’s Flaggschiff, die HMS Formidable, glänzten im Kampf und "brachen die Linie" der französischen Flotte.

Die Rumqualitäten von Admiral Rodney werden wie die Rumqualitäten von Chairman's Reserve auch in der Destillerie der "St. Lucia Distillers" produziert.
Alle Rums werden in der Column Still destilliert.

Der Admiral Rodney HMS Monarch ist ein Blended Rum aus sechs bis neun Jahre alten Rumqualitäten, die in ehemaligen Bourbon- und Portfässern reiften.

Farbe: dunkles Mahagoni
Aroma: ein feiner Duft von süßen Sultaninen und Vanille mit einem Hauch von roten und schwarzen Früchten
Geschmack: süß mit Anklängen von braunem Rohrzucker, Pralinen und kandierten Früchten
Abgang: im Abgang lang verweilend mit geröstetem Eichenholz sowie tropischen Gewürzen - angenehm ausgewogen und komplex
