An absolute exception filling of a 40-year-old Glenglassaugh!
For over 40 years, this single malt whiskey was stored in a former refill Sherry Butt, just 300 bottles were bottled!
Aroma: lots of fruit - especially orange, blackberry and plum, with candied ginger and fresh caramelized brown cane sugar - in the background dark honey - and then the Oloroso sherry
Taste: also in the taste a lot of fruit, now more clearly the elegant sherry and soft oak tones, traces of marzipan and roasted almonds - a very creamy and gentle single malt!
Finish: an almost endless finish! Warm and soft with clear sherry notes, fruit and a hint of spicy oak
