Every year, the Islay jewel Lagavulin fills in their version of the Distillers Edition. Since the first year, this edition is in high demand in the whiskey world, because Lagavulin uses for this Single Malt Whiskey former barrels of the darkest Spanish Sherry Pedro Ximenez.
The powerful and very smoky whiskey with its distinct peat and leather notes gains the elegant sherry sweetness, berry notes and the sweetness of raisins with the second ripening in the Pedro Ximenez barrels.

ein typischer Lagavulin - stark rauchig und torfig.
Die letzte Abfüllung hätte sogar 5 Sterne bekommen.
Diese Flasche war uns fast schon zu stark.

Intensiver Torfrauch und Vanille verbindet sich mit Zitrusnoten. Etwas Jod, Seetang, Asche und Tabakblätter. Ein Classicmalt (Islay) wie er im Buche steht. Schmeckt immer wieder nach mehr, einfach lecker ...

Lagavulin etwas anders/ besonders. Den kann man echt genießen, denn er setzt auf den bekannt würzigen und rauchigen Geschmack etwas drauf. Eine echte Empfehlung für Genießer!
