Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.
The 12-year-old has a fine citrus aroma with depth and finesse on the finish.
This is the first 12-year-old of Bruichladdich since reopening in 2000.
Meanwhile replaced by the 2nd Edition.
