Kilchomans first bottling in barrel strength!
For this bottling, 35 ex-Bourbon barrels from 2009 were selected and with an alcohol content of 59.2% vol. bottled to 9,200 bottles.
Managing Director Anthony Wills is particularly proud of this release, as he has long had the desire to produce a Kilchoman quality in cask strength as soon as enough barrels are available: "This is how single malt should be drunk experience full intensity in the glass ".
Color: honey-gold
Aroma: soft peat flavors, with citrus fruits and pear drops
Taste: sweetness at the beginning, peat again and notes of ripe fruit
Finish: long and clean on the finish with peat smoke and later again the citrus fruits
Edition: 9,200 bottles
