Product information "Glenglassaugh The Massandra Connection 39 Year Old 1972/2012 Sherry Style Finish 53.3% vol. 0,7l"
Massandra is the oldest winery on the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea.
Since 1894 wine is grown here.

Glenglassaugh has acquired a small contingent of barrels from this winery and ripened their oldest single malts in these high quality barrels.
The wine stored in this barrel, the grape varieties Sercial, Verdelho and Crimean Albillo are strongly reminiscent of Spanish sherry.
This wine usually lasts four years.

Aroma: lots of tropical fruit, peach, guava, pineapple and pear, very buttery nose, almonds, coconut and vanilla - a little oak
Taste: sweet peaches, mangos and - chili! Reminiscent of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez-Sherry
Finish: gentle Oloroso-Sherry notes, long finish, again with tropical fruits and white pepper

Distilled: December 1972
Bottled: July 2012
Edition: 328 bottles with individual numbering
