Tomatin's neueste Abfüllung, abgefüllt ohne Altersangabe ist diese Abfüllung sozusagen der Einstieg in die Single Malts dieser Highland-Destillerie.

Aroma: deutlich Vanille und frische Ananas, Marshmallows und Zitrusfrüchte - dann Obstkompott
Geschmack: gemahlener Pfeffer, wieder die Ananas und eine süße Gerstennote - dazu kommt ein wärmender Eichenton
Abgang: der Abgang ist süß mit einer pfeffrigen Note

Dalwhinnie 15 Jahre 43%vol. Sample 0,04l
Dalwhinnie ist die höchstgelegenste Destillerie Schottlands und produziert einen sehr aromatischen, sanften, fast sinnlichen Malt.
Dalwhinnie ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil in den Blends Black & White und Dimple.

Aroma: deutlich Toffee und gezuckerte Früchte - vor allem Apfel, Birne und Nektarine - im Hintergrund würziger, leichter Rauch
Geschmack: malzig mit nussigen Noten, dazu Honig und Vanille - würzige Heidekrauttöne mit etwas Rauch
Abgang: langer Abgang - wieder das Malz und die Nüsse

Wolfburn Northland 46%vol. Sample 0,04l
Der erste Single Malt Whisky der neuen schottischen Highland-Destillerie Wolfburn, gereift in Quarter Casks, in denen zuvor Islay Whisky lagerte.

Aroma: zu Beginn süß mit fruchtigen Aromen, dazu frische Seeluft - im Hintergrund Zitrone und Spuren von Getreide und Torf
Geschmack: süß mit nussigen Noten - dann Trauben und Honig, gefolgt von Kaffee und dunkler Schokolade
Abgang: sehr schön abgerundet, die Geschmacksnoten bleiben, dazu eine leichte Torfnote

Edradour 10 Jahre 40%vol. Sample 0,04l
Schottlands kleinste Destillerie wird 1837 zum ersten Mal schriftlich erwähnt.
Edradour liegt im Herzen der Highlands oberhalb der Ortschaft Pitlochry, in einem kleinen Tal, verborgen von umliegenden Bergen.
Die Destillerie produziert mit ihren drei Angestellten soviel wie Whisky in einem Jahr wie andere Destillerien in einer Woche.
Seitdem die Destillerie 1933 von der Blending-Firma Whiteley übernommen wurde, liefert Edradour einen der Basis-Malts für den Blend „House of Lords“, der im besagten Oberhaus des britischen Parlaments ausgeschenkt wird.
Als Single Malt gibt es Edradour erst seit 1982, als der damalige Besitzer Whiteley von Campbell Distillers übernommen wurde.
Ein bisher letztes Mal wechselte der Besitzer im Jahre 2002.
Seitdem hat der unabhängige Abfüller Signatory das Sagen über die Destillerie und erst seit dieser Zeit gibt es neben der 10-jährigen Standard-Abfüllung auch so manchen limitierten Malt dieser wunderbaren Destillerie auf dem Markt.

Aroma: sehr komplex mit Aromen von süßem Sherry, reifen Früchten und Vanille
Geschmack: zu Beginn eine leichte Süße, erinnert an Rum - dazu gebrannte Mandeln, wieder fruchtige Noten, Heidekraut und eine Spur Rauch
Abgang: Heidekraut und Vanille sind deutlich, dazu Frucht und warmes Gebäck

Aberfeldy 12 Jahre 40%vol. Sample 0,04l
Ausgezeichnet als Bester Highland Single Malt Whisky bis 12 Jahre 2014 bei den World Whisky Awards!

Von John Dewar & Sons 1898 gegründet, ist diese Highland-Destillerie die erste Brennerei dieser berühmten Firma.
John Dewar & Sons besitzt noch heute die Lizenz für Aberfeldy und bezieht auch heute noch einen nicht unerheblichen Teil der Basis-Malts für Ihre Blends.

Aberfeldy gilt als klassischer Highland-Malt - sehr schön ausbalanciert mit einem weichen und vollen Körper.

Aroma: deutlich Heidekraut, Honig und süße Ananas, dann Toffee, frisches Getreide und etwas Vanille
Geschmack: süßer goldener Sirup und wieder der Honig, gefolgt von würzigen Noten und etwas Orangenschale
Abgang: trockener, leicht würziger Abgang, wieder die Orangenschale
