Einer der ganz traditionsreichen britischen Navy Rums - bis heute nach dem Originalrezept und mit dem Alkoholgehalt von 1887 abgefüllt.
Ein klassischer Rum aus Demerara-Melasse, ausgewählt werden für diese Abfüllung nur drei Rumqualitäten, allesamt aus der Diamond-Destillerie in Guyana.

Eine weitere Besonderheit ist einer der verwendeten Rumqualitäten, dieser wird in der Diamond-Destillerie in der sogenannten Versailles-Still destilliert - eine 250 Jahre alte Pot Still aus Holz! Die einzige ihrer Art weltweit.
Die Rumqualitäten werden nach der Destillation in Schottland in Eichenfässern gereift, dann miteinander vermählt und mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 57%vol. abgefüllt.

Aroma: zu Beginn würzig, etwas Eiche - dann folgen Aromen von süßem Sirup, dunklem Pedro Ximénez-Sherry und Trockenfrüchten
Geschmack: weich und rund im Geschmack mit einer deutlichen Malznote, dann würziger werdend mit Noten von Kräutern und Lakritze - die Früchte treten in den Hintergrund, sind aber präsent
Abgang: lang im Abgang mit einer herrlichen Balance aus Würze und Süße - wieder die Lakritze
