Compass Box' Nachfolger des Oak Cross.

Der Großteil des Rezeptes für diesen Blended Malt Whisky verwendet Whiskybestände, die von Compass Box frisch destilliert gekauft wurden.
Diese Destillate wurden dann in Fässern nach hauseigener Spezifikation ausgereift.
Viele der Brennereien, aus denen der New Make bezogen wurde, sind für ihren fruchtigen Stil bekannt.

Orchard House zeigt diese Fruchtigkeit und profitiert von den vielen Fassreifungsmethoden, die man in den letzten 20 Jahren entwickelt und durchgeführt hat.

Orchard House steht für ein neues Geschmackserlebnis: Kreiert nach eigenen Vorstellungen.

Früchte sind in vielen Kulturen ein Symbol des Teilens und des Überflusses.
Reife Früchte erinnern an süße Leckereien und die leichte Wärme des Spätsommers - kaum etwas ist so lecker wie ein perfekt reifer Apfel oder Pfirsich.
Compass Box möchte damit erreichen, dass dieses sowohl Reife als auch Lebendigkeit suggeriert; die gelben und grünen Fruchtnoten stellen dieses perfekt dar.
Der Name weist auf die fruchtige Natur des Whiskys hin. Der Begriff "House" deutet auf Eigentum hin und verweist darauf, daß der Großteil der Destillate von Anfang an Compass Box gehörte.

Aroma: zunächst Apfel, Birne und Pfirsich, dann Anklänge von sattem Torf und Schwarzkirsche, Ananas, alle möglichen Zitrusschalen (besonders Zitrone und Limette) - dazu Earl Grey Tee, Ingwer wandelt sich in eine schöne Malzigkeit, Vanille und geröstete Kokosraspeln - süße Biskuitnoten mit einem Hauch von Zimt
Geschmack: Apfelsaft, Müsli, Banane und Honig, dann folgen Noten von wilden Erdbeeren - anfangs sehr frühstücksartig! Wieder eine ölige Textur mit dezentem Torf,  Sultaninen, Vanille und dann eine Cremigkeit mit Heu und Mädesüß
Abgang: im Abgang ein Hauch von Kakaopulver

Genußempfehlung und passende Speisen
Der Moment: vor dem Abendessen - ein idealer Sommerwhisky.
Passende Speisen: ideal zu kräftigen Cheddars, um die Apfel-, Heu- und Sultaninennoten herauszuholen
Servieren: Orchard House ist vielschichtig und voller Aromen, wenn er auf einem großen Eiswürfel serviert wird.
Er passt auch wunderbar als Teil eines Boilermaker Gedecks, kombiniert mit einem knackigen Pale Ale, Lager oder Pilsener.

8% Single Malt Whisky, aus einer Destillerie in der Nähe der Stadt Aberlour, gereift in Revatted Oloroso Sherry Seasoned Butts
2% Highland Malt Blended Whisky, gereift in French Oak Barrels - Heavy Toasted
