Die Willett Destillerie in Bardstown war bis Anfang der 1980er Jahre im Besitz der Familie Willett.
Seitdem gehört die Destillerie zu Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, auch hier findet sich ein Mitglied des Willett-Clans.

Seit Urzeiten gehören Marken wie Noah's Mill, Old Bardstown oder Johnny Drum zu Willett.
Die Gelder, die diese Marken einbringen, wurden bis in die 1990er Jahre in die Renovierung der Destillerie gesteckt und 1997 wurde dann, ganz traditionell, eine Beer- und eine Pot Still-Brennblase in Betrieb genommen.

Mittlerweile beliefert Willett auch die Destillerie Heaven Hill mit frischem Destillat.
Heaven Hill liegt hügelabwärts von Willet und wurde 1996 bei einem Großfeuer schwer beschädigt.

Noah's Mill wird nur in kleinen Mengen (Small Batch Bourbon) abgefüllt und nicht immer gelangen Flaschen dieses weichen Bourbon nach Europa.

Toll, dis 57% Stärke braucht mann damit ein Bourbon nicht zu süss schmäkt.
