Product information "Glenfarclas 30 year old"
Glenfarclas' 30-year-old Single Malt Whisky presents itself in a red, heavy wooden box that immediately reminds of the bright red doors of the distillery warehouses.
The wooden box is packed in a velvet-lined, dark purple, high-quality gift box.

Like all Single Malts from Glenfarclas, this one also matured in former Spanish sherry casks - just a bit longer than others - over 30 years!

Nose: complex aromas of ripe fruit and exotic spices, plus clear sherry and malt aromas
Palate: intense, powerful notes of sherry, paired with hints of old cognac and ripe fruit, along with nuts and marzipan with powdered sugar - like a Scottish Christmas cake in a glass!
Finish: an outstanding single malt with an almost infinitely long finish - soft and mild - again the ripe fruits and nuts, paired with hints of burnt chocolate

Glenfarclas machen ab 30 Jahren sehr viel Spaß. Schade, dass man diese Originalabfüllung so stark verdünnt, 46-48% würden ihm schon gut tun, aber er ist auch so immer wieder eine Verkostung wert. Die momentane Preisgestaltung für diese 30-jährige Originalabfüllung ist jedoch indiskutabel, weit über 300 oder vielfach sogar Phantasiepreise über 400 Euro wären dann gerechtfertigt, wenn man eine Fassstärke dafür bekommen würde, so muss man auf ein Schnäppchen hoffen, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passen nicht (Stand heute 2021).
