Portrait: What makes the Craigellachie 15 Year Old 2007/2022 Oloroso Sherry Cask #905 special.

Craigellachie is a veteran of Speyside and yet anything but your typical Speyside whisky. 
Its fruity, powerful flavor is due to the use of worm-tub condensers. 
Craigellachie is one of the few distilleries that still uses the traditional process of distilling Reliquefaction of alcohol vapour.

And: the only distillery in Scotland that fires its barley with oil during kilning in the malting process - for a robust character.

Malt Master Stephanie chose from Craigellachie's extensive cask inventory MacLeod a cask that demonstrates the distillery character in such a tasteful and remarkable way that it is worthy of a single cask bottling.

After 15 years in the Oloroso Sherry Cask, the single malt unfolds notes of roasted marshmallows, caramelized pineapple and browned grain.
