Not cold-filtered in a different way!
This 8-year-old Ardmore from the Scottish Highlands comes from two exBourbon barrels.
Signatory dispensed with this bottling on a cold filtration, but reduced the alcohol content to 40% vol., So that the single malt in the bottle at room temperature appears very "foggy".
The reason for this are the oils and fats contained in the whiskey, which are filtered out during a cold filtration, but here these flavor carriers are fully contained.

Aroma: earthy smoke and light peat flavors - behind it subtle fruit tones and iodine
Taste: now more noticeable peat and iodine, then develop significantly fruity notes of apricot and orange, some ginger and cardamom
Finish: long, peaty, smoky finish - fruity and medicinal notes
