Red wine meets smoke in a new experimental bottling from the Australian Starward distillery.
For Unexpeated, the Australians refine their wonderfully fruity Australian whisky, matured exclusively in red wine barrels, in barrels that previously contained peaty Islay single malt.
For the first time whisky lovers experience such peat-smoky aromas of the Scottish coast in connection with the juicy, tropical-fruity aromas typical of Starward.
As part of the innovative "Project Series", Starward Unexpeated is a limited edition treat.

Nose: tropic fruits, roasted oak and a touch of sweet peat
Taste: ripe red berries, coastal peat smoke, yellow peaches and cocoa shells
Finish: oak notes slowly dry the Palate and go over into a long, peated aftertaste
