Portrait: What the Maxime Trijol 1972 Cognac Petite Champagne Journal des Kirsch N. 5

French spirits tell stories of traditional craftsmanship and strict quality standards, from vineyards passed down through generations, our own sugar cane plantations and authentic bottlings from small producers. Inspired by the adventure stories of the historical “Journal des romans populaires illustrés”, this story tells about the experiences that Cognac, Armagnac, Calvados and Rhum have to offer: excitement, surprise, variety and delight.

With outstanding single casks
the potential of distilled delicacies from France and the French overseas departments becomes public. Page five of the Journal des Kirsch is now filled with an exclusive experience from Petite Champagne.

The Maxime Trijol 1972 Cognac Petite Champagne leads into Eye of a Tropical Storm: Unparalleled notes of mango and passion fruit coat the palate with a mouth-filling, waxy consistency. A profile that was not to be expected from the small plot in Petite Champagne. The renowned house of Trijol has been guarding the cognac jewel since 1972. Half a century later, it was bottled in late summer 2023 - cask strength, without additives and not cold-filtered for full enjoyment in a class of its own.

If you get hold of one of the 162 bottles you will be presented with in all its splendour, an exotic-fruity cognac, mouth-filling and particularly soft.
