An almost breathtaking 1988 Blair Athol matured over 28 years in a butt replenished with sweet wine (the sweet wine is squeezed under pressure into the barrel staves, this method is common to elicit more aromas and flavor from selected barrels).
Bottled in Signatory's Cask Strength Collection on July 20, 2017 on just 540 bottles.

Aroma: clearly leather and raspberries (what a combination!), Then spicy oak and herbs
Taste: wild, wild peaches and ripe summer berries - with warm, fresh bread and milk chocolate
Departure: long and fresh on the finish with an elegant bergamot note and ripe orange
