Garnheath 45 year old 1974/2019 Refill Barrel Douglas Laing XOP 46,3%vol. 0,7l

33 years after the closure of the Garnheath distillery, this single grain whisky was bottled by Douglas Laing in the XOP series.
Distilled in February 1974, the single grain matured for over 45 years in a refill barrel, then became the barrel in August 2019 bottled on only 122 bottles.

Nose: creamy vanilla and red fruits, with aromas of baked apple
Taste: mouth-filling with notes of apricot and strong toffee, then buttered corn and icing sugar
Finish: on the finish with notes of pear drops, vanilla cream and toasted almonds
