Kilchoman selected 30 exBourbon barrels for this bottling, which were filled with fresh distillate in 2012.
After six years of maturing in these former Bourbon barrels, the single malt was replanted into former Sauternes wine barrels for a five-month finish.
The phenol content of this bottling is 50ppm.

Aroma: Peat smoke and a fresh sea breeze, then aromas of citrus and tropical fruits - in the background a buttery sweetness
Taste: soft and creamy in the taste with clear soft chocolate and liquorice, followed by peat smoke, cinnamon and ripe fruit
Departure: long on the finish - again the peat smoke and the fruits, carried by a pleasant honey sweetness
