This single malt was first stored in exBourbon and exSherry casks - the finish was then made into exPort pipes (port wine barrels) Aroma: rich with peat and port wine - you can almost smell the old Dunnage warehouse where the barrels were stored - plus lots of fruit, especially blackberry, cranberry and strawberry Taste: the influence of the port wine barrels is clearly noticeable, very nice notes of plums, blood oranges and grapefruit Departure: long finish, very soft and elegant - with earthy notes, paired with peat and oak
