Tobermory
Founded in 1798 on the Isle of Mull, Tobermory produces with many, sometimes long periods of closure, on the one hand the quite light but very aromatic malt of the same name (the Malt Tobermory is made of unsalted barley) and on the other the Malt Ledaig.
This malt is made of beaten barley and produced only in small editions.
The distillery was taken over after a long period of rest by an English real estate company and taken back in 1990. Since 1993 Tobermory is owned by Burn Stewart.
This 1972 Tobermory is a true peat bomb matured in an Oloroso sherry butt.
