Product information "Bowmore Legend "The Battle of Gruinard" 40% vol. 0,7l"
Founded in 1779, Bowmore is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries.

Bowmore still uses its own malting floors and is one of the few distilleries on Islay, who like to experiment with sherry barrels.

The Battle of Gruinard

This limited edition is reminiscent of the Battle of Gruinard, a lake (hole) on Islay.
Legend has it that the battle took place between the Cland MacLean of Mull Island and Clan MacDonald of Islay Island. The reason for the battle was the MacLeans' attempt to claim the Rhinns of Islay.

The legend is in the form of a short story on the back of the can.

The "Legend" has a balanced peat note, is smoky and dry with fine notes of seaweed and lemon balm on the finish.
