The sixth Bottling in the Local Barley range - for this bottling Springbank used Barley of the Optic variety from the High Cattadale Farm on the Kintyre Peninsula. Matured in exOloroso-Sherry Casks.
Nose: rich, fruity aromas, with nuts, raisins and plums - in the background some dark bitter chocolate, espresso beans and walnuts
Taste: strong and creamy in taste - sweet creme brulée and a hint of orange peel - sweet and spicy with slight hints of nutmeg Finish: juicy maraschino cherries and delicate caramel shortbread - behind them light tones of sea salt and vinegar
