Great Britain's oldest wine and spirits retailer writes another chapter in the company's history.
In collaboration with the renowned design firm Stranger & Stranger, the supplier to the British royal family, founded in 1698, gave its entire spirits portfolio a modern look in 2021.
Whisky, rum and co. find their new home in a bottle that is inspired by the place of origin and the heart of the family business: the arched windows of the building in No. 3 St. James's Street.
The fillings of the Summer Release 2021 were the first to be the new in July Design used.
This includes this single barrel bottling in a new look called Sutherland , distilled in 2000, the mysterious Highlander matured for over 10 years in Hogshead #1432, which with its strong aromas of floral honey, antique furniture and fruit gum is reminiscent of the characteristic profile of a famous distillery.
Nose: intense, full aromas of strong honey, old oak and furniture polish, plus berry tones
Taste: at the beginning again the strong honey and the spicy wood, then notes of wine gum and barley malt develop
Finish: medium length i m finish - wort and wine gum carry the finish
Outturn: 488 bottles
