The sixth batch of a Port Ellen from That Boutique-y Whiskey Company is also the first batch of a Port Ellen with age - a 33-year-old Port Ellen was selected. The man with the bagpipe on the label is none other than Jon Beach from the Fiddler's Whiskey Bar!
Aroma: earthy peat with a hefty portion of grilled BBQ meat, behind it flambéed orange peel and lemon ice cream, blackberries, honey, dark fruits and cough syrup Taste: intense and mouth-filling with hints of burnt pineapple, oak and Szechuan pepper, followed by oily barley and smoky vanilla, then tropical fruits and a light citrus sweetness Finish: very long finish - rye !, more burnt pineapple, then ash, juicy fruits and caramelized brown sugar
