Distilled on December 6, 2007 by Jim McEwan, optic barley was used for this single malt whiskey. Over six years, the whiskey matured in an exRotwein barrel of the Spanish Bodega Callejo - a heavily treaded single malt with a phenol content of 50ppm. Aroma: red fruits and a light sweetness, then a lot of peat smoke and a bit damp soil Taste: a fruity sweetness of red berries at the beginning, then develops more and more peat, to damp coal and soot - some oak and hay in the background Finish: long finish with a sweet and spicy note - and of course peat
