Douglas Laing chose a single Refill Hogshead - just 115 bottles were bottled.
Aroma: elegant and edgy - in the style of old Islay bottlings - sweet peat, malted barley, moist sandy beach and green fruits
Taste: some tobacco, burnt toast, vanilla, fudge and moist soil
Departure: smoky on the finish with hints of leather and a salt note reminiscent of the sea - some dark chocolate and burned out barrels - charcoal
