In time for the Islay Festival Feis Ile 2015, Douglas Laing has bottled this 14-year-old Laphroaig.
Aroma: Islay in the bottle! wet ropes with tar stains, damp earth, gauze bandage and iodine jump to formally! - to barbecued malted barley
Taste: a phenolic sweetness - reminiscent of medicine cupboard and gauze bandages - smoked meat and campfire in autumn
Finish: long finish with peaty malt and barley sugar - again the damp soil and the sweetness

Hat alles was einen großen Islay ausmacht, die typischen Laphroaig Merkmale gepaart mit der Handschrift eines großen unabhängigen Veredlers, der den Laphroaig zähmt, ohne ihn zu kastrierten! Die Preise sind zwar deftig, der Genuss ist es aber wert. Wie immer problemlose und seriöse Abwicklung über Malts & More, danke dafür. Gerne wieder.
