A genuine Speyside single malt whiskey from the Glen Elgin distillery - Douglas Laing selected a single barrel for this bottling - 21 years matured the single malt whiskey in a former sherry barrel.
Aroma: initially sweet with a warming spiciness, syrupy character with distinct aromas of cloves and oranges
Taste: mouth-filling spiciness, very well-defined notes of toffee and chocolate - rounded off with ripe, dried fruits
Finish: on the finish with spices and camphor - then dry with a slight oak note and oranges
