Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.

Bruichladdich 17 years - Rum Cask

Matured in former Jim Beam bourbon barrels for 15 years - then aged for 2 years in Guyana rum casks at the distilleries Uitvlught and Enmore.

Delightful variety of exotic fruits, with distinctive vanilla flavors - an excellent aperitif malt!
