Fontalloro Wine Cask - Finish
After maturing for more than 8 years in traditional oak barrels, this malt was bottled for a second maturation for 8 months in selected Fontalloro wine barrels.
Rancia is a classic Italian red wine from the Felsina area, in the heart of Tuscany.
The second ripening in the 225-liter wine barrels gave the whiskey a beautiful ruby red color and a fascinating rich aroma and taste.
In the aroma earthy and spicy with traces of a "cigar box".
Rich in taste and oily, sweet notes of fruit and sweetmeats pave the way for soft oak tones.
The finish is complex and of impressive depth for this young malt.
