Mackmyra
Mackmyra Svensk Whiskey was founded in 1999 by eight whiskey enthusiasts in Valbo, Sweden.
It is the first and so far only whiskey distillery in Scandinavia.
After initial difficulties, the distillery developed magnificently and today the new distillate flows daily from the copper stills into the barrels.
Mackmyra procures all raw materials needed for production from Sweden.
Preludium: 01
The Prelude: 01 is both the first bottle of Swedish malt whiskey and the first bottling in a series of six bottlings to be bottled in the coming years.
Each edition will feature a specific section in the new history of Swedish whiskey.
Prelude: 01 is a young, fresh malt with notes of apples, coconut, anise and toffee.
It is bottled in barrel strength, free of colorants and not cool filtered.
