Scapa, founded in 1885, is the direct neighbor of Highland Park and the second distillery on the Orkneys.
Only half a mile missing Scapa to the title "Scotland's northernmost distillery".
Scapa today belongs to Taylor & Ferguson, a subsidiary of Allied Domecq.
The distillery was decommissioned in 1994, but has been producing here again for a few years now, albeit very irregularly.
The 14-year-old is lighter, rather soft malt, slightly sweet and with an elegant hint of peat.
